Peter and John were entering the temple in Acts 3 when they encountered a lame man who was begging alms. This providential encounter became a divine appointment as “Peter, FASTENING HIS EYES UPON HIM with John, said, LOOK ON US.”
After the beggar looked into Peter’s eyes, Peter spoke the powerful words, “In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.”
It is not insignificant that the lame man’s healing did not take place until he looked into the eyes of Peter and John, and the healing for your marriage or for your relationship with a child or a family member or a friend may not take place without you looking into that person’s eyes. Make sure your eyes are filled with the healing power of kindness and love.
God told Solomon that “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and SEEK MY FACE . . .”
In Psalm 27:8, David said, “When thou saidst, SEEK YE MY FACE; my heart said unto thee, THY FACE, LORD, WILL I SEEK.”
This simple thought is not just helpful to solve problems, but also to prevent them. Every day at mealtime, lay aside all phones and tablets and newspapers and books and seek the face of your wife or husband and children and COMMUNICATE EYE TO EYE.
Is there someone whose face you need to seek right now? Do it!
